Our Primary Sport Program is designed to give students a strong foundation in physical activity from their earliest years of schooling. We focus on developing fundamental movement skills, building confidence, and encouraging students to be active in a variety of settings both inside and outside the classroom.
Students participate in two dedicated lessons each week, where they learn how their bodies move, how to control their actions in different spaces, and how to apply these skills across a range of sports. As they progress through the primary years, the program shifts from basic movement patterns to broader physical literacy and sport-specific skills.
A key aim of our program is to instil lifelong, health-enhancing habits. Students are encouraged to stay active not only during PE lessons but also during break times and after school. Research consistently shows that active children are better able to concentrate and perform academically, and our program is designed with this in mind.
By helping students understand how their bodies work and giving them the skills to participate confidently in a range of physical activities, we are setting them up for a lifetime of positive health choices and enjoyment of sport.
