Learning Support Co-ordinator

The Learning Support Co-ordinator plays a central role in supporting the diverse learning needs of students across Foundation to Year 12 at Grace Christian College. This position oversees the organisation and management of aide support for students with learning, social-emotional, and physical disabilities, ensuring that each student receives targeted and consistent assistance. The role includes designing and delivering literacy and numeracy intervention programs for students performing significantly below age-level expectations, as well as developing and teaching highly modified programs for small withdrawal groups of students with learning disabilities.

A key responsibility of the Learning Support Co-ordinator is to guide and support teachers in writing, implementing, and reviewing Individual Education Plans (IEPs), ensuring that goals are personalised, measurable, and aligned with student needs. The role involves regular collaboration with teachers, parents, and allied health or external support professionals to monitor progress and maintain a cohesive approach to student learning. Additionally, the Co-ordinator manages disability-related funding requirements, including record keeping, data collection, and compliance with government guidelines. Through these responsibilities, the Learning Support Co-ordinator helps to create an inclusive, responsive, and supportive learning environment for all students.

Mrs Debbie Rodham is the Learning Support Coordinator at Grace Christian College.
